mwbaRTCP o mwbqReal-time Transport Control Protocol è un mwbgprotocollo che raccoglie statistiche sulla mwbwqualità del servizio del protocollo mwcaRTP e trasporta le informazioni riguardo ai partecipanti ad una sessione. RTCP è sufficiente per mwcqsessioni mwcgloosely controlled, in cui cioè non c'è un reale controllo dei partecipanti e mwcwset-up della sessione, e non è necessario che tutti i requisiti di controllo siano soddisfatti. Per questo RTP può essere coadiuvato da un protocollo apposito per la gestione delle sessioni (come mwdaSIP o mwdqH.323)

È definito nell'RFC 3550.

RTP Control Protocol Extended Reports (RTCP XR) è un'estensione di RTCP che contiene dati e misure di specifico interesse per la valutazione della qualità di una chiamata mweqVoIP. È definito nell'RFC 3611.
